Even in my rig I leave both synth volume at 10 and the channel volumes on my sub mixer at 3 (Triton) and 6 (for the Roland).

Paired up with the Triton sounds the JV sounds at first can seem a little overwhelmed. The signal isn't too 'hot', synth like or 'cold'. In my live rig my XP 30 sits in the mix nice. Although the pianos are so so, the brass, strings, organs and pads are very usable. I own an XP30 and learned to appreciate the Roland JV sounds for live use. Since this synth will be mostly for live gigs (minimal tweakage)I'm wondering if any Roland fans or Fantom owners can give me a short run down on the presets in their factory state.

I'm pretty familar with JV sounds, but I haven't had much time to play with the newer SRX sounds. I may have an opportunity to own a Fantom.
